Our Chevra Kadisha depends solely on volunteers, and are always ready to welcome those who would like to participate. We would be happy to talk with you about:
- Helping in performing a Taharah
- Being a shomer
- Helping with educational programs
- Managing our website or other communications
- Helping with other activities within our Chevra Kadisha
Arranging a Taharah
The process for preparing the deceased for burial is called Taharah, or purification. If you need a Taharah, please contact the Chevra Kadisha of Northern New Mexico central hotline (505)-395-6627, or the organization in the list to the right that is appropriate for your family.
